"Club Rides"

During 2017 our Sunday club ride starts at 8am (during BST, 9am in winter) from outside The Picture Café in Bingham. This is the best way to start with VBCC and it is a mid paced, casual ride for approximately 2 hours at an average speed of around 15 mph. In addition to this ride it is normal practice for our members to post their own rides, at a time, speed and distance that suit them.

The Plan:

* Meet at 9am

* Ride for around 2 hours at 15 mph

* Return 11/11.30am for a coffee

* This is a free to attend event

This is aimed at riders who can keep a medium pace for 30 or so miles, so come along and enjoy the morning – please let us know if you are joining us via Facebook.

We tend to ride on the quiet roads around the Vale of Belvoir, here are some examples in our bank of routes for the Sunday Club Ride:

We actively encourage our members to post rides on our Rides/Events Page on Facebook. Joining the club will give you access to many rides on a weekly basis at a range of speeds and distance - and of course the ability to post your own rides.

One of the key benefits of joining a cycling club is meeting like minded people to ride your bike with. We are developing a great network of riders around the Vale of Belvoir and member posted rides is a key focus for the club.

We will run a club ride on Sunday mornings through the summer as a social ride but would encourage that members post the kind of rides they want at times that suit them.

All we ask is that organisers post up an event on the Rides & Events FB page with description of the ride, a route (route ideas are available on this website) and an idea of the average speed to help members assess suitability for their level of experience and fitness.

Throughout 2017 there will be a range of rides including the Thursday night speed run, 10mi TTs and longer weekend rides. All of these are accessible to members through the Rides & Events FB page.
